| dc.description | Facing the bicentenary of the Latin America’s formal independence, it comes to attention that to the present day, the continent still continues reproducing strong ties of dependency. This is highly related to the fact that it has been incapable of generating an endogenous and comprehensive scientific-technologic platform. To break with this condition of submission is a task that intrigues a good number of Latin American social researchers. This article intends to offer some guidelines that may contribute to this mission, articulated in a proposal that shapes into a new accumulation model that the author has named growth from within, where the State is invested with a radically different function to which it has had until now. | dc.description.abstract | En los albores del bicentenario de la independencia formal de América Latina, llama la atención que el continente hasta nuestros días siga reproduciendo fuertes lazos de dependencia. Ello está estrechamente relacionado con el hecho de que ha sido incapaz de generar una plataforma científica-tecnológica endógena e integral. Romper con esta condición de sumisión es una tarea que intriga a un buen número de investigadores sociales latinoamericanos. En este trabajo, se pretende ofrecer algunos lineamientos que puedan contribuir a esta misión, articulados en una propuesta que conforma un nuevo modelo de acumulación que la autora ha denominado crecimiento desde dentro, donde el Estado es dotado de una función radicalmente distinta a la que ha tenido hasta ahora.
