| Abstract: | Ante los problemas de salud en México y su fuerte demanda de atención e intervención, la psicología de la salud es una herramienta que aplica diversas estrategias: investigación, prevención de enfermedades, rehabilitación y promoción de la salud con base en el trabajo interdisciplinario. En efecto: se trata de una disciplina pertinente y necesaria en el área de la salud y el cuidado de la vida. En esta obra, los autores ofrecen un panorama de la psicología de la salud en distintas problemáticas (estrés, inteligencia emocional, obesidad, fibromialgia, entre otros) mediante estudios cuantitativos y cualitativos en diferentes etapas del ciclo vital (niños, jóvenes, adultos y adultos mayores). Cabe destacar que el alcance de los contenidos abarca los ámbitos académico y profesional. |
| Description: | Given the health problems in Mexico and its strong demand for care and intervention, Health psychology is a tool that applies various strategies: research, disease prevention, rehabilitation, and health promotion based on interdisciplinary work. Indeed: it is a pertinent and necessary discipline in the area of health and life care. In this work, the authors offer an overview of the psychology of health in different issues (stress, emotional intelligence, obesity, fibromyalgia, among others) through quantitative and qualitative studies at different stages of the life cycle (children, youth, adults and older adults). It should be noted that the scope of the content covers the areas academic and professional. |
