| Abstract: | En el presente artículo revisamos la situación de la filosofía de la medicina en México, centrándonos en uno de los principales autores: el Dr. Fernando Martínez. De éste autor analizamos su propuesta de la diferencia entre los conceptos de enfermedad y padecimiento. El primero de los cuales sería el concepto biomédico de la enfermedad y el segundo un nuevo tipo de proceso no necesariamente biológico pero, según la propuesta del autor, de gran importancia en la atención sanitaria. |
| Description: | In this article we review the situation of the philosophy of medicine in Mexico, focusing on one of the main authors: Dr. Fernando Martínez. From this author we analyze his proposal of the difference between the concepts of disease and illness. The first of which would be the biomedical concept of the disease and the second a new type of process not necessarily biological but, according to the author's proposal, of great importance in health care |
