Abstract: We study the transmission, transport and electronic structure properties of magnetoelectric (magnetic–electric) barriers in monolayer graphene. The transfer matrix approach and the Landauer–Büttiker formula have been used to calculate the transmission and spectrum of bound states, and the linear-regime conductance, respectively. In particular, we have found a red and a blue shift of the low energy conductance peaks by increasing the magnetic field strength, and we can successfully correlate these shifts with the changes of the spectrum of bound states as a function of the magnetic field strength as well. Our results indicate that the calculation of bound states is important to understand the oscillatory nature of the conductance in graphene-based structures.
