dc.descriptionThe authors of this article evaluate the emergent regulatory framework of nanotechnologies in Mexico. They illustrate the context and the developments that lead the way in trying to regulate these technologies in the country. Using legal and political analyses, they show how the commercial interest prevails over issues such as the risk to health and the environment, similar to the American regulatory platform. The oversight of nanotechnologies is an absent topic in both the legislative and the public policy agenda in Mexico, and the emergent regulatory framework paves the way towards this end.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl artículo es un análisis de pertinencia de lo poco que existe en materia de regulación de las nanotecnologías en México. Los autores exponen los antecedentes y el contexto que dieron origen a los primeros lineamientos para regular estas tecnologías en el país. Mediante un análisis jurídico y político ilustran cómo el interés mercantil se superpone a las cuestiones de riesgos a la salud y el medio ambiente, en equivalencia al modelo estadounidense. La regulación de las nanotecnologías en México es un tema ausente en la agenda legislativa y de política pública, y los lineamientos marcan los primeros pasos hacia este propósitoes_ES
