| Abstract: | El autoconcepto académico es un constructo que el sujeto configura desde edades tempranas. Esa percepción, adquirida e interiorizada, influye en el proceder cotidiano, así como en el aprovechamiento que el alumnado tiene en la escuela. La investigación tuvo lugar en el tercer año, grupo A, del Jardín de Niños “Beatriz González Ortega” de Fresnillo, Zacatecas, en el ciclo escolar 2020-2021. Se empleó la Pictorial Scale of Perceived Competence and Social Acceptance for Young Children para conocer el nivel de autopercepción de los infantes de este grupo escolar. La información obtenida a través de este instrumento se correlacionó con el desempeño escolar obtenido por éstos en el campo formativo de Lenguaje y Comunicación. Los resultados dejaron entrever que un nivel alto, medio o bajo de autoconcepto académico, manifiesto por el niño de preescolar, no es garante para que se produzca un desempeño escolar esperado, satisfactorio y/o insuficiente en la asignatura de Lenguaje y Comunicación, respectivamente. |
| Description: | The academic self-concept is a construct that the subject configures from ages Early. This perception, acquired and internalized, influences the daily procedure, as well as in the use that the students have in the school. Research took place in the third year, group A, of the Kindergarten "Beatriz González Ortega" of Fresnillo, Zacatecas, in the 2020-2021 school year. The Pictorial Scale of Perceived Competence and Social Acceptance for Young Children para conocer el level of self-perception of infants in this school group. The information obtained through this instrument it was correlated with the school performance obtained by these in the training field of Language and Communication. The results left glimpse that a high, medium or low level of academic self-concept, manifested by the preschool child, is not a guarantor for a school performance expected, satisfactory and/or insufficient in the subject of Language and Communication, respectively. |
