| Abstract: | La pieza, en suma, es un importante documento para conocer la exégesis y tipología del sermón autónomo del ámbito litúrgico, sin dejar de utilizar comentarios bíblicos y palabras de los llamados Grandes Patriarcas de la Iglesia. Las coyunturas por las que atravesaba la sociedad del Zacatecas de mediados de 1822 (tiempo en el que se puede ubicar al sermón) se adaptan casi perfectamente a sus exigencias de información política. No se debe pasar por alto el fuerte contenido persuasivo del sermón para tratar de redeinir la orientación de las ideas políticas de las elites zacatecanas de la época. |
| Description: | In short, this piece is an important document for understanding the exegesis and typology of the autonomous sermon within the liturgical sphere, while still employing biblical commentaries and the words of the so-called Great Patriarchs of the Church. The circumstances facing Zacatecas society in the mid-1820s (the period in which the sermon can be placed) align almost perfectly with its demands for political information. The sermon's powerful persuasive content, aimed at redefining the political orientation of the Zacatecan elites of the time, should not be overlooked. |
