Sistema - Mundo y lugar del infierno en la narrativa dieciochesca

Abstract

Con la revolución científica hubo un cambio cosmológico que se tradujo en numerosos debates teológicos y a su vez geopolíticos. Durante el siglo XVIII aparecen una gran variedad de tipos textuales fronterizos entre el diálogo filosófico y la carta que anuncian también la transformación de los saberes herméticos a la ciencia pública. Astrología, astronomía, alquimia, mecanicismo y librepensamiento están presentes en las tertulias del Nuevo Mundo, y en textos tanto laudatorios como heréticos: exequias fúnebres, almanaques, cartas… donde se discuten cómputos cronológicos, ideas del universo y el lugar de las estrellas. He aquí un ejemplo del diálogo entre textos científico-literarios. A cosmological change occurred with the scientific revolution that resulted in numerous theological —and at times geopolitical— debates. During the 18th century we witness the appearance of a large variety of texts that border philosophy and the epistolary genre that announce the transformation of hermetic knowledge into general scientific knowledge. Astrology, astronomy, alchemy, Mechanicism and freethinking are present in New World tertulias, and in other texts: funereal obsequies, almanacs, letters....in which chronological computations, ideas about the universe and the placement of the stars are discussed. This paper contains an example of the dialogue between scientific and literary texts.
