| dc.description | This is an essay that became a book that talks about old-fashioned bookstores, mainly from the late 20th century, in Mexico. It can be read from several optics, but the primary intention is to establish a physical map of the real historical state, relatively close, to look at its internal structures from there. The bookstores, in addition to being shops of words and ideas, are free meeting centers, training centers for citizens and venues for the integration of multiple artistic-humanistic expressions. Its symbolic presence revitalizes the cultural life of every city and its absence limits the inhabitants to live in a wasteland of horrible silences. Taking into account this shot of ideas, this print seeks to stand without romanticism or fictitious images; Although old-fashioned bookstores can be magical places inhabited by incomparable beings - books, booksellers, readers - in the end they are shops and homes with a postal code where - it is true - the written word reigns. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Este es un ensayo que se convirtió en libro que habla de las librerías de viejo, principalmente de finales del siglo XX, en México. Puede leerse desde varias ópticas, pero la intención primaria es establecer un mapa físico del estado histórico real, relativamente próximo, para de allí mirar sus estructuras internas. Las librerías, además de ser comercios de palabras e ideas, son centros de libre reunión, ejes formadores de ciudadanos y recintos para la integración de múltiples expresiones artístico-humanísticas. Su simbólica presencia revitaliza la vida cultural de toda ciudad y su ausencia limita a los habitantes a vivir en un páramo de horribles silencios. Teniendo en cuenta este disparo de ideas, este impreso busca plantarse sin romanticismos ni imágenes ficticias; si bien las librerías de viejo pueden ser sitios mágicos habitados por incomparables seres —libros, libreros, lectores— al final son tiendas y hogares con código postal donde —es verdad— reina la palabra escrita. | es_ES |
